The bridge of Yueyang Dongting Lake started the foundation in Dec. 1996 and was completed to traffic at the end of 2000. The total length is 5747.80 meters. The total investment is up to 0.843 billion, the longest inland river road bridge in the country at present. Dongting Lake Bridge is the first cable-stayed bridge of three towers and double cable plates. The largest span is 310 meters.
